Gabe's Gadgets

For me, engineering is as much a lifestyle as it is a profession. Whenever I encounter a novel example of technology, I start asking questions. My first question is, invariably, “how does it work?” And my second, "how can I make it better?"

I am a proud graduate of Northeastern University. However, I stronly believe that engineering is not something that can be learned entirely in university. The paradigm of learning in a lecture hall is one that has turned many away from careers in technology. While a solid knowledge of theory is critical to the sucess of every engineer, so too is a penchant for autodidacticism.

When I'm not in engineer mode, you can find me enjoying coffee, doing large format photography, or listening to classical, rock, or folk music.
